Grant Livingstone
I began my career in 2006 as a self-employed mortgage adviser at the age of 24. Driven by a strong desire to expand my knowledge and offer more comprehensive support to clients, I quickly set my sights on qualifying as an independent financial adviser, which I achieved in 2008.
As you’ll recall, this was during the height of the global financial crisis—a truly formative period. It was a steep learning curve that taught me invaluable lessons, particularly around the psychology of investing during turbulent times. I learned that staying calm, keeping perspective, and maintaining trust are essential, markets do recover, and brighter days will return.
I’m proud to say that many of the client relationships built during that time are still going strong today. That continuity, and the trust behind it, is a key reason I founded Livingstone IFA. In a world of rising costs, I believe loyalty should be rewarded, value should be fair, and quality independent financial advice should be accessible to all. Livingstone IFA allows me the freedom to uphold these principles every day.

Personal life
I’m a proud family man and feel incredibly fortunate to have three amazing children. Much of my time outside of work is happily spent ferrying them to their various clubs and activities—which, as a sports enthusiast, I thoroughly enjoy being a part of.
When I do find a bit of spare time, you’ll often find me out on the bike with the Warwick Lanterne Rouge cycling club, where I also serve on the committee as treasurer. I’m also active in the squash leagues at Warwick Boat Club. Beyond sports, I have a real love for great food and discovering new places—whether that’s a hidden gem of a restaurant or a new spot to explore.
